WASHINGTON, D.C., February 13 - Justice at Stake Interim Executive Director Liz Seaton issued a statement today in response to the death of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia:

“We note with sadness the passing of Justice Scalia, who served on our nation’s highest court for 29 years.  Justice Scalia contributed greatly to the intellectual vigor of the deliberations of the Court, and his death is a significant loss for the Court in the middle of its term. Justice Scalia was a patriot who served his country and the Court with loyalty. Our deep condolences go out to his colleagues on the Court and to his wife and family.”
